Learning/Walking/Reading Garden at Braddock Drive Elementary School and Gifted Magnet
Location: 4711 Inglewood Boulevard, Culver City, CA 90230
The 14,000 square-foot learning/walking/reading garden at Braddock Elementary provides an attractive amenity for the school and the local community while capturing one million gallons of stormwater each year. The garden consists of “islands” and “zones” of drought-tolerant native trees, grasses, and flowers that attract and support local wildlife connected by a meandering walking path and a variety of seating areas. The site also features an edible garden in memory of Celeste Kubota, a popular teacher at the school.
